About: Overlooking Mandovi River, Church Of St. Lawrence, located atop Sinquerim Hill was built in the mid 16th century by the Jesuits. The church is dedicated to the martyr St. Lawrence who is also considered to be the patron saint of the cooks and the poor. Tourists are drawn for its religious significance, the age-old Portuguese architecture, and the annual feast held on the 10th of every August.
