Location of Polem Beach in Goa:  South Goa

Where:  Polem, Goa

Best Time to Visit:  October-May

How to Reach:  The Polem beach road is located just off NH66 at the Goa-Karnataka border. One can catch a local bus from Panjim or Margaon heading towards Karwar and do off at Palolem Village. From there, it is a 15-minutes walk towards the beachside. Alternatively, if driving to Polem Beach in a car or bike, hit the NH-17 towards the Goa-Karnataka border beyond the Palolem village.

About: The southernmost beach of Goa, Polem beach marks the beginning of the famous shoreline of Goa, being a stone’s throw away from the Goa-Karnataka border. It is one of the least visited beaches by tourists. This gives travelers the impression of a private beach with its pure white sands and azure waters. Tall palm trees form the border of the shore, which is shaped like a sickle, and one can see many landmasses amidst the blue waters of the Arabian Sea.

This offbeat beach is the perfect spot for those looking for peace and tranquility in the vibrant state of Goa. This beach is ideal for having a picnic, sunbathing or swimming. Most of the tourists that come here arrive from the neighboring town of Karwar in Karnataka. While there are no water sports at the beach, there are a couple of shacks offering some of the most delicious seafood of Goa.
